Parkview Boys and Wesleyan Girls Smash Competition Georgia State Athletics Championships

Parkview High School won the Ethan Kasson, Julian Vann, Taron Squires, Davin Nash and Sean Stephenson and participated in the other races and won the 2009 Georgia Men's 5A Championship.

Kasson won 400, Vann triple jump, Parkview scored a 4 x 400 relay, because Mill Creek had to get a runner-up with 59 points, and Parkview scored 80 points.

In the 4A competition, Kenneth Gilstrap won 100 and 200 and was part of the winning 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams, as Miller Grove High School won the Alexander 59 with 71 points. Not to be outdone, Stephen Hill joined the 300-mile race and won the long jump with a 28-08.75 jump. Hill's leap became the best preparation for the season in the United States.

Sir Paul Jones doubled in the 110 and 300 games and led Monroe to defeat Elbert County's 3A champion 57-45.
