My story explains my struggle as a 23-year-old single, divorced mother with three children, six years old, four years old and one year old, and then shows some practical ways I use to change my life and claim my personal abilities. Self-pity, anger, guilt and self-hatred are my constant emotional partners. I suffer physically, mentally and mentally. In 1980, I earned $80 a week, received $300 in sporadic child support every month, and worried that we could not survive. I am afraid of life and keep worrying. I smoked, ate unhealthy food, didn't exercise, and spent countless hours watching TV. My thoughts have always been concerned with what other people in life should change, so I can be happy. Because I can't change anyone else, I think I am a desperate failure to do anything.
Through Alanon's help and advice, I realized that I did have a choice, and I was the one who needed to change. I listened to my own words. This is negative. I replaced my self-talking, "I am stupid", "I am learning", "I am worthless", "I am good enough".

One of my goals is to quit smoking. Studies have shown the negative effects of smoking, and I don't like the fact that I am addicted to cigarettes. I have tried to quit smoking many times before. When I used visualization and affirmation to quit smoking, it was successfully implemented. It must be a simple statement that you said to yourself, such as "I can"... "I am good enough"... "I am very successful." Saying is definitely effective because your subconscious has created The exact content you tell it. However, I add 5 pounds per month. If I continue to learn math, I will add 60 pounds in a year. Determined not to return to smoking to eliminate weight gain, I turned to affirmation and exercise.
When I started exercising, my muscles were sore and I wanted to quit because I didn't see the results fast enough. I will say that it will definitely help me get the job done. My physical strength has not only improved, but my self-image and attitude towards life have also improved. Focusing on it definitely makes exercise easier because I am thinking about positive things. Just like the benefits of getting my body trained after twenty-four hours, my thoughts are the same. I found out all day that I would repeat these affirmations.
Through exercise and affirmation, I helped me in my daily struggle. If I am in an uncomfortable state, I am beginning to get into the uncomfortable feeling I have exercised, and I will think of it for sure. They helped me gain the confidence I needed to solve my daily fears and insecurities.
My spirit has become more peaceful because my body and mind work together. Positive energy is filling my existence. Not only do I learn to accept and love myself, but I also have more energy to deal with single parents.
This simple technique of saying positive and positive when walking, running or lifting weights is a way to enhance self-esteem and learn to love yourself, your mind, your body and your spirit. I want to share this exercise skill with affirmation in order to create "the power of active aerobics."
