Protect your softball field this winter

When the winter rolls, it's time to put the softball field on the bed. If your area is still playing or practicing in the winter, you don't want to rest permanently throughout the season, but you still need to be prepared for colder temperatures and excess moisture.

What to do, don't consider

You should take some steps to prepare the winter fields and if you want to come to the green healthy lawn in the next season, you have to avoid things. These include:

• Reduce the height of the mower. Reduce the mowing height before winter to reduce the possibility of snow spatter or turf damage when not in use.

• Overseas and turf bare areas. Any dilapidated area, especially in hilly and warm-up areas, should be supervised or repaired with turf. Once the weather gets warmer, the turf will begin to take root.

• Aeration of the entire site. Don't forget to ventilate before snow and ice fall. This helps treat stress and increase moisture...
