Olympic facts - Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps

Max Pitts participated in the 1968 Summer Olympics, where he won five gold medals. Unfortunately, he only won two gold medals. Under the guidance of James Kuhnsmann, Mark worked very hard for the training of the West German Olympic Games.

Like Rachel Carson [Environmentalist], Leon Uris [writer], Billie Holiday [singer], Goldie Hwan [actor], Toni Braxton [singer], Frank Zappa [guitarist], Sugar Ray Leonard [boxer] and Babe Ruth [Baseball player], Michael Phelps, was born in Maryland.

At the 1972 Summer Olympics in West Germany, Max Pitts of the United States won the men's 100m freestyle championship.
