Senior Michael Kiley of Chaminade High School visited the 3,000-meter obstacle course at the 2009 New York State Athletics Championships with a score of 9:13.92 to create a new national lead time.
Kiley joined another leader in the leading era of the New York State as a winner, when Suffern's senior Shelby Greany won the 2000 obstacle course at 6:36.90. Earlier this year, Grigny's national lead time was 6:33.7.
Another national leader from New York, Benjamin Cardozo High School 4×400 Relay [3:39.96], could not reduce his performance in the state legislature because Hempstead won Charlene Lipsey at 3:50.59. Donna-Lee Hylton, Velma Morant and Asheka Gibson. Lipsey also won 800 at 2:08.67.
Alex Hatz, a teenager from Fayetteville-Manlius, created a 4:06.11 NSW record in Boys 1600, while Johnson City's senior Jeff Martinez defeated Marcellus' Chris Stogsdill at 8:57.60 to win 3200. This is the result of Hatz's victory; Stogsdill goes out quickly...
