Horse training facts and Maxim

For the uninformed horse owner, there are timely facts about the horse that should be known. In fact, when someone gets a horse for the first time, they should study and learn the facts.

These timely facts come from the Jesse Beery Horse Training Manual. Jesse Beery was a famous equestrian trainer in the 1800s. Interestingly, Beery's training method is as powerful today as Beery is alive.

Timely fact #1:

Let your horse be your friend, not your slave.

Timely fact #2:

Almost every wrong behavior of a horse is caused by fear, excitement or mismanagement. A severe word will increase the pulse of a ten-minute horse for ten minutes. The hoses have been ignorant of them until they are poorly managed. Any clumsy horse starts to be stable and real in a few minutes. I have never found a teaching that I can't start loading in fifteen minutes, usually three minutes.

Timely fact #3:

Smart riders already know that kickers, bites and idiots are born...
