Kenneth D. Michaels's "Only in Key West" is the second book from
Nick&Norm Gay Detective Seriesfrom
. This story is fascinating and thrilling, and will delight the savage and chaotic riding in the Florida Keys.
After solving a major case, Chicago detectives Nick Scott and Noam Malone spent a well-deserved holiday just in time for the New Year - Key West style. When the famous artist Sho Yu and her fiancé were injured in a tragic accident, the celebration was interrupted. Seeing the scene with his own eyes, Nick and Nome were quickly recruited by the local police chief to help solve the case. As the investigation unfolded, the detectives discovered a myriad of mysterious suicides. These suicides did not add up. There was a series of crimes and corruption that cost them their own money and effectively ended their so-called s holiday. Family, secrets, tangled relationships, dragging the queen and drama, the colorful world of Christ's West is alive in this spectacular and dynamic thriller.
I have had such a fun experience when I read this book. Although I certainly look forward to an exciting thriller - the way I am going is that - and more!
First of all, it was obvious from the beginning that Michaels really liked to write this book. Moreover, although I am convinced that a lot of time and effort into the project through various stages of research, writing, planning and release, the end result feels like an effortless tour. Smooth, free-flowing entertainment - I was fascinated from the start!
Michaels wrote in a sharp and intelligent image, which occupies a high position in my list of expectations for entertaining reading. Psychological gymnastics - You can't force humor and humorous conversations between characters. In my opinion, this can only happen naturally.
In terms of character development, readers will encounter a variety of colorful characters, equally energetic. From incredible troubles to being totally cute, I feel that I have a good connection with everyone. I really like the ongoing conversation, especially the dialogue between Nick and Norm, who may complete the other's sentences.
Although the character is very attractive, this setup has no back seat. Michaels puts the reader directly into the heart of Key West. Descriptive and thorough, to the end of the story, I feel that I know my surroundings and can be around the islands around me.
Since "Only in Key West" is the second book in the series, I plan to do some research to speed up the story, but it is not. The author provides background information about the characters and their lives before Key West, so that I feel that I have not missed anything. At the same time, I don't think anyone reading the first story will think they are re-reading the first book because it's related to the background story - it provides the perfect balance of information for new fans or returning fans. I would say that the writing style is enough for me to go back and check out the first book in the series. from
