The best brake oil - mineral or synthetic?

The best oil for the Brake 5.0 Mustang or other high performance cars should be the oil that protects your expensive racing parts. If there is not enough lubrication, your pride and joy will soon melt into a pile of smoldering ruins. Most of the racing oils were high viscosity [thick] mineral oils before the synthetic oil debuted.

Today's all-synthetic oils provide better protection and improved performance due to less resistance/friction. They have the ability to maintain a higher temperature than the old school mineral oil. The best synthetic oils do all this with a lower viscosity, which increases the horsepower and torque of the engine.

The use of synthetic oils can significantly reduce the wear on engine components, allowing racing owners to save money. The longer bearing life extends the number of quarter-mile channels that can be operated before replacement is required. Less wear can also be seen on the cylinder wall of an engine running synthetic oil.
