Immediate release - fiber and diverticulosis: stop pressure to stop pain

No, no, everyone sat down and stopped applauding. It may not be as exciting as you think.

In the world of digestive diseases, fiber is probably the most controversial subject. There is a lot of real and a lot of information about this topic.

Let's start with everyone agreeing. In healthy people, fiber is good. Most people have too little fiber in their diet. A diverticulitis diet, rich in fiber, will ensure that you take positive steps to recover yourself.

The real problem with fiber deficiency is the small size of the intestine, which is directly related to diverticulosis; here, diverticulosis is one of the keys to good health. It may help to think of your intestines, especially your colon, like a tube of toothpaste. When you reach the last toothpaste in the tube, it takes a lot more work to push it out of the tube. This is a dangerous, too low fiber and too low residual food for your system. Eating a low-fiber diet is more difficult for your gut to "move things" than a high-fiber diet.

However, I must tell you that once you have diverticulitis or colitis, it is not always a good idea to suddenly add more fiber. Consider your colon damage is severe. If you start with pain, diverticulum, fistula, sores, wounds and tears, then you are already reading "Be careful" on the last road with signs. This is the reason. Your colon is as fragile as the contents of the toothpaste tube, wounded, and may even have small tears. Suddenly adding a lot of things can actually lead to complications and a lot of pain. When the "tube" is weak, you don't want to increase the physical pressure it is subjected to. Again, the diverticulum diet is one of the closest remedies you can use to correct bad eating habits.

Only you and your doctor can assess if you have open wounds and tears. Most people with colitis or diverticulitis are not at this level of crisis. If you know that your colon is healthy, gradually adding fiber is healthy and almost everyone can bear it. When you add volume by adding fiber to your diet, you can move the material through the colon just as you would squeeze a toothpaste through a toothpaste tube. You can make the colon more easily and successfully move the material. This process of motion is called peristalsis. Imagine peristalsis as the action of squeezing a toothpaste tube by hand. A large amount of toothpaste makes it easy to dispense, while a smaller size toothpaste makes it difficult to remove from the tube and the tube is traumatized during the process of forcing a small amount through it. This analogy is not far from the truth.

If you don't eat at least 25% to 50% of the food from the grocery store or from your garden, you may have a low-fiber diet. A diverticulitis diet can treat or prevent diverticulitis. Some good examples of diverticulitis foods are canned or cooked fruits without skin or seeds, as well as vegetables such as green beans, peas and potatoes [without skin]. The less fresh produce you eat, the more fiber you should add to your diet. In the meantime, supplement the fiber with something from a grocery store or a health food store. I don't like to name brands, but instead focus on healthy fiber choices. They all have help. One thing I recommend is to choose a fiber source filled with sugar or horse, but contains artificial sweeteners. I know that listening to me sometimes "almost everything is bad" is annoying, but my first enthusiasm is to tell you the truth. I won't tell you what you want to hear, not tell you the truth.

If you don't listen to this suggestion, here's a simple list that gives you the "best, better, better, worse" option.

Best: When your colon is in good health [no wounds or tears], gradually increase your fiber intake with fresh products until you exercise at least once a day, preferably two to four times a day [although They may not be very big]. Once you get used to the diverticulitis diet, you can make the right food choices for you more easily.

Better: Same as above, respect for colon health, but gradually increase fiber intake by taking supplements such as psyllium seed, psyllium husk or psyllium powder. Flaxseed [smashed or powdered] is also a good fiber choice, including some omega oils and nutrients. When choosing fibers, avoid excessive sugar and avoid using all artificial sweeteners. In my opinion, they are toxic.

Good: Same as above, respect colon health, but take any type of fiber, you can tolerate, add sugar, artificial sugar, pills, pills and so on. Do something to increase your size and it will still benefit you.

Bad: Keep doing what you are doing now and pretend that you will get better. Indeed, only this procedure can cure diverticulitis and colitis, but the amount of feces through you has always been a factor in your inner health.

One definition of insanity is: continue to do what you have been doing, but expect or hope to get different results.

For other reasons, fiber is good for us. The shape and non-softening properties of the fiber make it an internal "brush" as it passes through us. It is the most effective internal cleaner we can use. If you think of people as machines [such as cars], you need to deal with internal dirt and deposits on a regular basis. In the car, this is handled by a 3,000-mile oil change. Among people, especially in the UK, Australia, Canada and the United States, we are no longer fasting [no food regularly]. We are rich enough, food is easy to get, and we have begun to consider missing one or two meals, because some type of plague makes us "hungry".

Because we no longer get enough fiber, and we almost never fast for 24 hours [natural cleansing], we will never be cleaned up. As a group, our pipes are dirty inside. Please consider adding some fiber to your diet. When you consume fiber, you also need to drink a whole cup of water per dose [except for the production of fiber], more than the amount of water needed to mix the fibers. This is because you want the material to move the consistency of the toothpaste in your tube, not the consistency of the brick. Add fiber, add water, and become healthier. Take a reasonable diet to treat diverticulosis, and lead you to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Please do everything possible to overcome this terrible disease.
