When I read the pages of my favorite fitness/female magazine's various holiday issues, I noticed a lot of articles about the benefits of practicing yoga during this stressful year. If I have 30 minutes a day [if I am lucky], then it sounds like an aerobic snobbery, I have to wear a special dress in about a month and a half. I don't spend 30 minutes doing clean breathing and stretching exercises.
Don't get me wrong, if you exercise regularly throughout the year, you can definitely benefit from yoga class 1, maybe twice a week. However, if you are just starting a routine and want to adapt to the 8th, then your mother is ready. This is my recommended routine.
Choose 3 [or at least 2] aerobic exercise to avoid burnout [see table below].
Perform one of these activities 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes [45 or 60 minutes if your schedule allows]. This should include a 3-5 minute warm-up and 3-5 minutes of cooling [you can stretch while waiting on the cooked line].
Use the free weight, stability ball or a nautilus machine for strength training, twice a week for 30 minutes [preferably 45 or 60 minutes]. This should include a 3-5 minute warm up and a 3-5 minute stretch. Be sure to focus on any body parts that are exposed [arms, back, calves, legs, shoulders... you understand].
Remember, after this routine starts, you will bring you into your holiday costume... continue! You can add exciting activities such as yoga, kick boxing, pilates, meditation, these benefits will be: strong body, beautiful posture, rich energy and radiant light. But now you only need to wear an open back dress!
