For centuries, many philosophers have been exploring the subject of thought-physical connections. Rene' Descartes is a 17th-century French philosopher who claims that body and mind are unique. Traditional Western medicine originated from his rational thinking.1 Since then, new evidence and findings have been discovered, which contradict Descartes' beliefs and support a physical and mental connection. Ernest Lawrence Rossi investigated this topic and wrote a book on the psychology of psychosomatic treatment.
In his book, Rossi shows that "messengers" are commonplace that makes communication between minds possible.from

The expression of emotions, behaviors and genes in health and disease. They communicate between thought and all the cells of the body. Messengers change the activity of every nerve in our body and brain; they can program our memories, emotions, learning and behavior patterns and change them. Fundamentally, all systems of the body [ie, the autonomic system, the endocrine system, and the immune system] communicate with each other through the same messenger molecules.
In 1990, Ronald Glaser and Janice Kiecolt-Glaser of the Ohio State University School of Medicine conducted a study to identify the causes of psychosocial stress [from depression, loss of loved ones, economic problems, etc.] to suppress the immune system. They found that when medical students experienced heavy university stress during the test week, their immune system was suppressed because their IL-2 receptor gene expression was reduced, so their IL-2 messenger production was low. These findings demonstrate that there is a direct connection between mind and body, and that our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and images affect the mechanisms of the body's systems.
There are three main steps in promoting healing of physical and mental communication; the first is to access the state-dependent memory, learning and behavior [SDMLB] system to encode psychosomatic problems and then rebuild them by reorganizing them in a healthy way [whenever we visit it] The memory will change]; finally, confirm the problem that has been resolved. During the session, the patient still controls the healing process; this is a guided self-help method.
These findings validate what the Russian scientists Ivan Petrovich Pavlov [dog experiment] and Sigmund Freud [the study on the subject of hysteria] 4 found: there is a direct link between body and mind. Our thoughts, emotions, feelings and images affect the mechanisms of the body system. The key to our own happiness and health lies with us; physical and mental contact is an effective process that can be seen, measured and accessed through psychological therapy. By accessing the memory of the dependent state, the learning and behavioral system, the body disease can be healed through the mind. Therefore, Rossi concluded that Descartes' philosophy is wrong. from
