Introduction
34,000 people at Duke University's Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, North Carolina [a total of 52,000 people in two days] participated in the US-Pan-African Track and Field Competition [US and World Congress], which is the largest ever. Participate in the track meeting in the southern [southeast] region of the United States. The conference from July 16 to 17, 1971 was the first international competition in the region. A unified African team is a unique and unprecedented event with other countries [14 countries] and the US team. In 1971, bystanders became the biggest and most delightful track audience. The 38 African athletes included include the Olympic legends Charles Assati, Muhammad Gamodi, Kip Georg Keno and Amos Biwater.
