Motivation: the power of vision

This is an interesting story from the world of racing driving. One of the most important things to start learning for a racing driver is what to do when they lose control of the car and enter the spin. Natural reactions are focused on the walls or other objects they want to avoid. Because their focus is on the wall, this is usually their final result. Drivers learn to focus on where they want to go instead of focusing on the wall. This way they can avoid the walls, keep the route and go where they want to go.

What does this have to do with the power and power of vision?

Almost everything.

In my consulting experience, I found that the lifestyle of most of us is "to make up for it over time". Then we want to know why things get so confusing. It's like the old saying, "If you don't know where you are going, any road will let you get there."

Even if we do have a plan, it is only part of the plan. Then, when our plan doesn't work or "breaks into the wall," we don't know where to go and give up.

In order to succeed in life, I believe we need to have a clear vision of what we want in all aspects of life. Even if we have a lot of desires, energy and motivation, and no clear direction and vision, we will end up like a "dead atheist." All the dress up, did not go anywhere.

Why is there vision?

Let's take a look at how to create a vision in several key areas of our lives.

There is a saying that "without vision, people will perish." I think we can extend this metaphor and say no vision -

Marriage demise
a family demise
The cause has disappeared

Marriage vision

One of my favorite things to do is to help a couple create a vision for their relationship. Most people spend more time planning a two-week vacation instead of planning how they want to build their relationship. This is a key question - "What if we could design this relationship the way we want it?" How are you?

Spend time?
Be related to each other and communicate with each other?
Planning your future?
How to spend?
Help each other grow?

Family vision

We live in a society where ordinary families spend only fourteen and a half minutes a day. I don't believe this is what we really want.

So here are some key questions about creating a family vision.

As a family, what do we value most?
How do we want to spend time?
What legacy do we hope to leave for future generations?
What impact do we hope to have on the community?

Career vision

Most of us are awake at work all the time. However, it is one of the main areas of life, and we tend to find it by chance and make up for it over time. Here are a few key questions to create a vision for your career.

What is your career dream?
How do you want to spend your working hours?
What will make you get up every day excited, go to work?
Do you want to make a living or make a living?

The answers to these questions can help you start creating a vision in every key area. You can also add other areas and other issues. The next step is to start taking small daily actions for each goal immediately.

I will end an example of the visual power in our lives. Imagine sitting at the kitchen table at home, with a juicy lemon on the plate in front of you. Now take a knife and cut the lemon in half. Smell and feel the juice. Cut a slice from half now. More juice, more smell. Cut the piece in half. More juice, more smell. Take half now, take it to your face, smell it, then bite it. If you are like most people and you have done this exercise, then there will be a little moisture in your mouth.

This is a very cool thing. No lemons. You create a physiological response in your body through the power of vision.

So when you have a clear understanding of what you want in life, it's okay. The clearer your vision, the faster your brain will respond.

So be clear and start.
