Integration - body, mind, mind and spirit

Insights/discrimination: It is very important for me to live a balanced life concept, but in practice, I am not completely sure what the balance means? I need to move the needle far... I admit that it is easier said than done! I know why - remember that I feel that I am either stepping on the accelerator pedal or relaxing - when you learn to drive it, you will feel abrupt. A few years ago, I read Stephen Covey's "eighth habit - from effectiveness to excellence", which helped build a slightly different perspective. "Fundamentally, there is a simple and important reason why so many people are dissatisfied with their work and why most organizations are unable to extract the talents, originality and creativity of them, and never Be a truly great, enduring organization. From an incomplete paradigm we are who - our basic view of human nature. The basic reality is that human beings are not things that need to be motivated and controlled; they are four-dimensional - body, mind, Mind and spirit."

Although he applies this to the workplace, I look at my own life from my own perspective. I don't need refueling pedals and brakes - I need to focus on every aspect of concurrency and cover other aspects - considering all aspects, because each question, problem, opportunity involves all aspects. In this regard, do I personally link my values, commitments, and actions to my entire human paradigm? An obvious clue is how do we allocate our own personal resources - do we invest in our own time and money, our relationships and our willingness to sustain growth?

This is an easy way that Stephen Covey organizes thinking around the whole person paradigm and can be a very effective framework and reference point to build our enjoyment, satisfaction and success until 2010! A few years ago, I put this on my slide "vision board" to inform my personal ten-year vision, I review it regularly!

Four people's needs

Body - life [survival]
from

Mind - learning [growth and development]
from

Heart - love [relationship]
from

Spirit - leaving a legacy [meaning and contribution]

So for the sake of simplicity, we best meet our needs...

Body - keep the arteries clear
from

Mind - keep learning
from

Heart - involving others
from

Spirit - life is like life is guided by higher intelligence

Apply the holistic paradigm to how we view employees...

...and connect these with how we manage our actions and the people around us. When working on your own business or working for someone else's employer, it's important to distinguish between management and leadership, which I will discuss in detail in the coming months. A simple point of view for this purpose is that we manage things [budgets, plans, accounts receivable], our leaders. Here, you can consider your personal leadership as it relates to your own career and personal life.

Stephen Covey pointed out that "the new era of knowledge workers is based on a new paradigm, a paradigm that is completely different from the industrial age... people have choices. Consciously or unconsciously, people decide how much they will give themselves. Their work depends on how they are treated and how they take advantage of the four parts of nature. These choices range from rebellion or quitting to creative excitement. A person who is fairly rewarded, kind, creative, and has the opportunity to meet human needs. In a principled way - to become one of the three choices of happy cooperation, heartfelt commitment or creative excitement. "We choose to always participate in or conceal personal relationships. You can read a very cute young man who recently realized this for himself! He has this insight and how happy his family is!

Finally, Steven Covey suggests that these four simple assumptions "immediately lead to a more balanced, integrated, and powerful life".

For the body - suppose you have a heart attack; now life corresponds
from

For the mind - assuming the half-life of your profession is two years; now prepare accordingly
from

For the mind - assuming you say everything to another person, they can all hear it; now say it accordingly
from

For the Holy Spirit - suppose you are one to one with your Creator every quarter; now life corresponds

Personal story: Whether you are a teenager, married, an employee, a boss or a partner, this is a food worth considering! I quit my previous job, paid me [body] fairly, used me creatively [mind], but did not always treat the stakeholders [heart] fairly, and did not consistently act in a principled manner [ spirit]. When we are aware of our values and principles, we are sometimes asked by our "whole people" to make things that seem difficult through the right decisions. This is where we experience the greatest personal growth when asked to showcase our own or personal leadership within the family or community. Otherwise, we will continue to get what we are willing to endure! The teachings of Abraham-Hicks say that there is no limit to our happy journey. Is it time to start creating the life we want? !

Quick Tip: I found Stephen Covey's "8th Habit" to be invaluable to me. He is a manager and leader responsible for an effective team and responsible for nurturing and developing my family. The book also contains great information about finding your own voice and then helping others find their voice. I will discuss in future articles how we enter ourselves and others to discover and participate in genius, talent and passion. This has a very practical application for families, businesses and any community we belong to. Please enjoy!
