Waterfall destinations around the world

The high altitude is cold, the air is fresh, the soothing green around, and of course the waterfall along the edge of the rock, but in a beautiful and peaceful way - everything makes the waters an ideal tourist attraction. While some of the waterfalls mentioned below may not be as approachable as other waterfalls, you should understand them and make plans to travel there.

Gullfoss [Golden Falls], Iceland

This is one of the most gorgeous waterfalls, especially in the winter. The Gullfoss is known for its shape, which tumbling on the Hvítá River at two 90-degree angles. Due to the gap, the Hvítá River seems to have disappeared into the abyss. Located in a mysterious environment, the charm of this waterfall is also around it.

Niagra Falls, USA and Canada

Niagara Falls spans Canada and the United States and is one of the most recognizable countries in the world. Due to its popularity, the surrounding environment is not as natural as other environments. But easy access and numerous opinions make it desirable. It consists of two parts - the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the US side - separated by an island. The Horseshoe Falls is even more impressive: the water here is down 53 meters, while the American Falls are only 21-30 meters down.

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls is the largest single waterfall in the world, extending to 1.7 km with an average flow of 1 million litres per second! If these numbers don't surprise you, then I don't know what will happen. If you travel nearby, you will have a hard time staying dry due to all the fog around you. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Victoria Falls is a sublime and beautiful work.

Plitvice waterfalls, Croatia

While most of the other waterfalls mentioned here are single waterfalls, the Plitvice Falls is more like a waterfall network, making it one of the most unique waterfalls. Many water droplets end in a variety of blue tones, from clear to sky blue to turquoise. These eventually extend to the limestone canyon. Located in a national park, people can hike around and around. The National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Angel Falls, Venezuela

The world's highest uninterrupted, permanent waterfall should have a place on this list. It is mysteriously placed on the tabletop hills of Canaima National Park, full of glory. It is as high as 979 meters and is a sight worth seeing. Although reaching it is a bit complicated, it does not stop the real nature lovers. After arriving at the National Park, you will need to take a boat trip and hike to the Angel Fall lookout.

Yosemite Falls, USA

It is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and is one of the highest waterfalls in the United States [739 meters]. This is one of the most popular tourist destinations. The fact that it is located in the beautiful Yosemite Valley also contributes to its situation. The source of this waterfall is snowmelt, which is why, sometimes, due to the small amount of snow, it can cause streams.
